COURSE DESCRIPTION/OBJECTIVES: 

Students will learn the fundamentals of chemical peels, including how to safely and effectively address a variety of skin conditions. This one-day course blends focused theory with live, hands-on training under the direct supervision of a licensed esthetics instructor.

THEORY

  • Learn skin anatomy, skin typing, and client assessment.

  • Understand lactic, glycolic, salicylic, modified Jessner’s, and TCA peels, including pH and percentages.

  • Learn the differences between superficial, medium, and deep peels, including esthetician versus physician-level peels.

  • Review indications, contraindications, consultation, intake, pre-care, post-care, booster use, and complication management.

  • Observe a live demonstration, practice on models under instructor supervision, receive a Certificate of Completion for 6 CEUs valid for IDFPR renewal.

  • Take home (1) professional starter kit for continued practice and success.

LEARNING oBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explain the purpose and benefits of chemical peels.

  2. Select appropriate peel protocols based on skin type and condition.

  3. Identify indications, contraindications, and safety procedures.

  4. Conduct client consultation, treatment prep, and post-care education.

  5. Perform a chemical peel treatment on one (1) live model under instructor supervision

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Each class is limited to 5 students. Please arrive 15 minutes early; late arrivals cannot participate. Full payment is due at registration. Cancellations made seven days in advance receive a full refund, while those made later are subject to a 50% fee. No refunds are given for no-shows. CEU certificates are issued only after the class and all client/model requirements are completed and can be picked up at the end of the training day. Attendance for the full day is required. Exceptions are at the discretion of management.
