Course Description/Objectives:

Social media is an essential part of modern beauty business growth, brand building, and client connection. This course provides a balance of strategy, content creation, platform education, and hands-on practice under direct instructor supervision.

Theory

  • Students will:

    • Understand the purpose and development of social media in the beauty industry.

    • Demonstrate competency in social media strategies and content creation.

    • Perform supervised social media activities, projects, or content development exercises.

    • Receive a certificate of completion for 10 CEUs, valid for IDFPR renewal.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify the purpose, growth, and role of social media in the beauty industry.

  2. Apply appropriate content creation strategies and posting guidelines.

  3. Recognize effective and ineffective social media practices.

  4. Demonstrate knowledge of branding, audience engagement, and platform use.

  5. Compare different social media platforms and determine when each is most appropriate.

  6. Observe and analyze social media content and marketing examples presented by an instructor.

  7. Safely and effectively create social media content and complete supervised projects for beauty business promotion.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Each class is limited to 8 students. Please arrive 15 minutes early; late arrivals cannot participate. Full payment is due at registration. Cancellations made seven days in advance receive a full refund, while those made later are subject to a 50% fee. No refunds are given for no-shows. CEU certificates are issued only after both days of class and all client/model requirements are completed, and can be picked up on the final day. Attendance on both days is required. Exceptions are at the discretion of management.
